What's happening

www.booksoncarp.co.uk

As winter approaches fast it's now time to take stock of the last year. What started off in March as one bait has now become three. My intention was to prove that my findings were valid and I am more than confident that has been proven without doubt. I have been carping for 25 years now and I know that one round ball will never be the answer to everything and good angling will always bring dividends. The truth is most people use boilies for most of their carping and my intention was to produce something that was both different, of great benefit to the fish and would bring more bites and ultimately more fish to the bank!

A1

The year has ended with the bait in its original form. The A2 and A3 contained elevated levels of the additive with cointreau and Blackberry oil respectively. Both caught really well (especially catfish) but were ultimately too soft because of the higher levels of solubility. As the bait is made by Nash to their recipe this was out of my control. The barrels proved hard to hook up and were in the whole a bit of a disaster although I had 23 fish over 35lbs in a week on them! The A4 with Pimenta was very promising but hard for Nash to roll due to the unique colour. The bait was devastating on some waters on the home front and especially at Dreamlakes.

A+

This was to be the flagship A bait. An awesome nutritional bait that would stand up against anything in terms of quality. It was meant to replace the red and contains just 1 ml of skunk oil as an attractor thus letting the additives do the talking. In the future it will be teamed up with 1ml of the recreated ultraspice, 99% match, and a little sweetener to soften it up. This is an awesome bait and the one I will be using in 2010.

A5

This is the crossover bait with high nutrition and a strong attractor package. I did intend to stop doing it but it has become the best selling bait of the 3 and ridiculous amounts have been going out to the very secretive Barbel boys, I know for a fact it has broken 3 river records at least! The green zing has proved to be the most popular of the flavour combinations and will become plum zing in 2010. Yet another flavour I have had custom made.

Liquid Illusion

I was told about this attractor blend by some friends in Holland and it has taken the chemist four months to Annalise and replicate. It has 2 distinct smells but contains neither! In fact there are at least 12 components being mainly a blend of oils both essential and bulk. I am working on combining this with a liquid food and one of the two A bait additives. I expect to have this ready for the Brentwood show and will be compatible for use with the A5 and A+.

I have strived to make sure that all the bait I have sold is fresh stock. Although 90% of the baits are shelf lifes no stock has been held more than 4 weeks. Just about all the money I have made from the bait has been put back into product development, after all I do have a full time job. Furthermore I have tried to reply to every E mail the same day and to dispatch orders as near to the next day as possible.

I would like to thank all the guys for their help and support and valuable feedback throughout 2009 and hope that every A bait user finds the fish they are looking for.

Best wishes

Jay
